Hello I have a 2166 model 341 snow blower. I just bought it . When I try to use the blower it throws the belt off. The belt looks to be in good condition. What should I look for. Also is the pto suppose to turn off when you backup.

Check any pulleys for either excessive play/looseness
Or binding. Also be sure any belt guides are in place, they should be close to the belt, not rubbing but close.

The guy I got the tractor from had the tensioner on the wrong side the belt and the spring pulling the wrong way. I got the correct spring and put the belt on the inside the pulley and the blower works great. Thanks for the help Lynn
