Trying to get our mower started after being stored all winter. When turning the key, nothing happens. No click or anything, silence.

The following has been replaced or tested with a multimeter
  • Battery - Replaced & tested
  • Solenoid - Replaced & tested
  • Seat switch - Replaced
  • Starter switch - Tested good
  • Spark plug - Replaced

I used a screw driver to bypass the starter solenoid, and the engine did crank but would not start. It has fresh gas, new air filter, new oil filter and the appropriate amount of new oil.

I appreciate any suggestions anyone has. Thanks in advance!

The only things you have not tested or replaced are the PTO switch, brake safety switch, or PTO safety switch. When you bypassed the solenoid, did you have the key in the run position? Did you also check to see if the fuel solenoid is opening when you put the key in the run position.

No power to anything to me would also lean toward checking the fuses.

I should know better that IL is correct, you should always start with the fuse.
