Snapper - Model 281223BVE
Engine - Briggs and Stratton 21A907-0124-E1
I've got a Snapper riding lawnmower that my grandfather gave me. Took it because it supposedly only needed a new pull rope and "it should work fine."
Fast forward to today - after replacing the pull rope, fuel filter, carburetor, air filter, spark plug, ignition coil, and new battery - and the engine sounds great.
The only problem is that when I let off the clutch, the engine dies.
After reading many posts about it being a seat safety switch, I replaced the seat switch and the OPC switch that is hit when the clutch is pressed down.
Still nothing.
The last thing I can think of is the interlock module.
Two questions:
1. Anything else it could be?
2. If it's the module, is there any way to test the old one before buying another one? While I'm happy that I've just about replaced everything on the engine and it's as good as new, I'd rather not continue to buy new parts that aren't fixing the problem
