I was replacing the drive belt and noticed the pulley on the transaxle had a lot of wobble. Removed the pulley and the pulley shaft has a lot of front to
back, side to side play, like the bushing or bearing is worn out. Is this normal? How do I solve the problem? Craftsman 917275351.

Depending on who made the tranny it could be either a ball bearing, or needle bearing. in both cases you will have to remove disassemble and replace the bearing, and then put it back together.
