The nut of the carriage bolt holding the rod carriage assembly fell off. I found it on the lawn and a nut that fits BUT after assembling everything back together the PTO / mower belt is very loose - so much so the blades aren't turning.
I read off the net something abt the spring and the rod guide should have a 1/2 - 3/8" gap and it doesn't and I tried to turn set set screw and can't budge the sucker. Afraid if I try to brute force it will snap - don't know if that would be the cause of the problem anyway.
Help?
