i am servicing my ride on myself for the first time i have changed the oil, air filter etc and greased the steering. is there any other places i need to grease?
It depends on your model. There should be a grease zerk on each end of of the front axle and there's usually one on each hub on the inside of the front rims. Some models have one on the center of the axle and also on the top of the mandrel shafts. Usually there's a hole in the top of the mandrel shaft cover if there's a zerk there.
If you've got access to a shop manual, either online or papyrus:laughing:, it should give you all the grisly details. On one of my heavier-built mowers, there is a zerk on the steering shaft that you'd never know was there until you removed the battery, cleaned out all the grass, etc., and reached in and felt for it. I'm going to guess it hadn't seen lube since it left the factory.:biggrin:
