Hello. I'm in the market for a new mower. I already have a small JD lawn tractor for the 'big' areas of my lawn. What I need is a push mower to go places by tractor cannot do well ... such as along tree lines, around several trees and in a few small areas of my lawn. I do have a decent slope to my lawn so self-propelled would be good. I'm looking to spend < $700. My lawn is approx 3/4 acre total.
Questions:
1 - My lawn is a fairly uneven (and sloped). Should I get a mower that has the larger wheels in the back?
2 - From reading the forum, it looks like Honda and Toro are good brands. I like the aluminum deck on the Toro but when I called a local dealer for pricing they said the aluminum deck mowers are too heavy so they don't carry them. Is this true? The Toro website shows the weights the same for the Recycler and Super-Recycler.
Any other thoughts would be appreciated!
Thank you.

Personally I would get a Honda. They are the BEST mowers in my opinion. And then you wouldn't have to worry about all the questions you have with the Toros! I don't know if you should get a mower with the big wheels. Yes, it is better for rough terrain, but they make it harder to lift up the front of the mower to turn when you get to the end of each pass.
Working for a Toro dealer I can tell you that the dealer you are dealing with is not a good rep for Toro. Please go, no run, to a different dealer. The aluminum deck Toro's will easily hand just about anything you could throw at it. I personally have an aluminum deck unit built in 1992, that is stll going strong and I have a 1/2 acre to cut.
