Anyone move their RER seat up for better front end turning ability? My seat is nearly all the way back. Lot of times the tires and turned and the mower is going forward. Happens more on wet grass. Thought if I could move my fat azz up some it would help it turn better. More weight over the front end.

If that doesn't work, jack the rear of the mower up and spin one tire. The other tire should freely rotate in the opposite direction. If there's a lot of resistance, your differential may need lube or worse, repair.

The other tire goes the opposite way as you mentioned. Little fella is full of 00 grease. Thanks for the tips sir.

I use a lot of old mowers with a strait through rear axel, thus no diff.
Get used to it .
Slow down a little on turns or do 3 point turns.
I have a couple of customers who mow commercially using Greenfields mowers with a fixed axel.
They can cut a yard faster than most with ZTR's.
IT takes a couple of months for them to train up a new operator and there is always a few you just never catch on so then end up back on the dole.
Apart from that, ribbed front tyres will make a big difference as will tyre pressure.
RER's steer a lot quicker backwards as do mowers with fixed axels.
I mow just about as much in reverse as I do going forward.
