I have a Craftsman self propel push mower, model 917.376742 that continually tears up the gears in the right front wheel. Does anyone know of a replacement wheel that I can put on that will not tear up?
Sorry to say that there is no replacement wheel for your mower. That is the problem with that mower and the plastic gears on the wheels. The gears get chewed up when the plastic bushing starts to wear and the teeth do not engage properly. Make sure that the axle is not worn, as this will shorten the life of the wheel even faster. You might try to find an MTD mower with the same wheel, as they do sell for a little cheaper. Sorry I can't be of more help.
