Scag Tiger Cub lost left hydraulics

Hi:

I have a Scag tiger cub 1150 hours that lost control of it's left drive wheel forward and reverse. I suspect either wheel motor or pump. No leaking fluids. When I jack up the wheel it turns freely to a point then a ratcheting pressure.
Any ideas?

Just a follow up. After sitting over night I started it and the problem of no left drive was gone......for about 15 minutes and then I lost partial left drive again. Could a simple hydraulic (20W50) fluid change be what is needed? Or is the problem likely a deeper mechanical issue as I suspect?
