Scag oil leak

I have a scag tiger and its leaking oil around the filter and wont stop no matter how tight u have the filter and the threads on filter dont seem to be damaged or anything like that and dont know wether I should try a different kind of filter or what

Turf tiger? Tiger Cat? Tiger Cub? Check the sealing gasket in the filter. Some filters come with the gasket installed, and some not. Also put some oil around the face of the gasket before installing
