Hi. I have a scag liberty z 48” that I need to replace the hydraulic belt. How the heck is this accomplished? Belt is exact same size as broken one. Have it treaded according to diagram but just can’t get it over the tension pulley. Can anyone help?
The tension pulley will need to be stretched so the belt can go over it
Some have a square hole for a breaker bar to go in to give you more leverage
If not hook a ratchet tie down the the tension arm and use it to stretch the spring
Some times you can get a wrench on the nut & use that for leverage if it does not back off
