What do you mean by "crank"?

and "can not get it to do anything"?

Safety requirements to start the mower

1) Operator in seat
2) Parking brake set
3) LH and RH control levers in the out/neutral position
4) PTO switch disengaged

Take out the spark plugs and see if the engine will turn over.

Will it turn over with the starter with the plugs out?

Then it is a battery, solenoid or starter problem.

Most likely battery. Even if it shows voltage, check all battery and starter connections for tightness.
have you tried to jump start it with another battery?
Red jumper on lawn mower battery red post and black jumper on the frame.
