The rubber disc drive tire that I replaced a year ago is wearing very unevenly,it is on a slant across it’s contact surface, the original drive disc lasted about 10 years.Anyone have an idea on why it would wear that way?

Welcome to the forum.
The driven disc, w/ the rubber around the circumference, is supposed to be perpendicular to the drive disc, located parallel to the deck.
The attitude of the driven disc is controlled by: the vertical bracket at the deck rear; the sliding pin and the ell bracket holding the pin and driven disc.
The symptoms indicate bent part(s).
Examine and measure those parts to determine what's out of whack.

Also, if the drive disc bushing is worn, permitting the disc to flop around, instead of remaining parallel to the deck, then that is another potential cause of the problem.
