Hi, I have a 85 Briggs 3.5 on my lawnmower but the recoil faces the wrong way. Is there any way i could rotate the recoil position on the shroud to face the right way towards the handlebars? BTW it's one of those starter clutch ones and doesn't have rivets.

Does it have the bolts around it holding to the shroud. Do you have a pic?

The older mowers had the starter spot welded onto the blower housing, where the newer one use rivets. the older ones were not designed to have the starter indexed
