we have a Toro 20055 that is about 2006 vintage. I went thru the engine a month or so ago, and basically remanufactured it after 20 years use. Even touched up the aluminum deck, which is in great shape.
Today was change the oil for the second time, and figure out why the left wheel wasn't driving. The answer was the rocking key wasn't rocking. After two tries I finally figured out that the nylon plate the rocking key arm goes into has two positions. One is if that part is on the right side, and the other is if it is on the left. Problem solved. I had the mower sitting on a piece of T1-11 siding, and when I sat the wheels down on it to see if they both had equal push, they grabbed the siding so well it shot backwards and almost hit me. Moral of the story... this part can go either way, but it only works one way on each side.
