Hi all! I am new here. I have been looking at getting a new ZTR to replace my CC RTZ 42. I have some pretty steep slopes and hills. I use the cub on some of them now and it gets a little hairy at some spots. Kinda like a here hold my beer while it try this moment. They are doing a promo on the rich mowers right now for a 48 inch cut with a 27 hp Kohler the price is $5800.00. Does anyone have one of these or know anything about them? TIA..

It is a good idea, but not too many people have them. Compare the specs to other mowers to see if it's worth it and demo one if you can. But a big positive is it's a zero-turn and a walk-behind for the price of one machine!

Yeah I don't think I will even try one. My father in law has a walk behind and I tried it last night. It did not do a even decent job on my hills.

did his have a floating deck? maybe something with a floating deck would give you a better cut.

no it does not have a floating deck. That was not even the issue. I had to struggle with it to keep it moving. It is a Cub Cadet belt drive model. I know it is not a fair comparison but if I can't use the walk behind feature then I don't think it is worth the extra investment.

I live in Maine and I bought a 61 inch Rich Convertible with 28 HP Kohler EFI from Canns-Bilco ( Pennsylvania Power Equipment Dealer: Mowers, Tractors, Generators, Utility Vehicles ) Roger Canns Sr is a great guy to deal with!...Bought it to replace my 15 year old 52 inch Toro Proline Hydro Walk-Behind....use it mostly in walk behind mode due to my terrain but its great fun to switch to rider mode (takes about 30 seconds) and do the few open areas....as one well into his 60's this is a nice break on warm days...especially after a day at work.
