i need to replace the clutch on my scotts 2348 riding mower. is that a job that a man with average intelligence and average mechanical skills can do, or would i be better off taking it to the shop?

Does this tractor have a clutch? I am thinking it has a hydro transmission that runs off a pump.

No I am wrong seeing the only clutch is the PTO clutch. For some reason when the OP said clutch my brain said what is he talking about till you said PTO. As far as changing the PTO clutch that's just two wires and the bolt on the bottom. Easy job. Adjust air gap.
