My dealer told me that they do not recommend I change my fluid and filters on my own, that the resulting "dry start" and air in the system can quickly destroy a hydro. And that there is a special procedure that must be done.
I could see it being total hogwash but also some truth in it. Dealer was very open and helpful on other things so I don't lean towards it being a fib but wanted to see what you guys thought.
Hog wash. Grasshopper systems are self bleeding. I've changed my fluids 3 or 4 times. When finished, I jack the mower drive wheels off the ground and move the levers forward & reverse.
