push rods bent

Need a little advice please. have a husq, 2454. 3 years old. shut off when done and would not start. gas, spark, took to dealer, said it was pushrods bent. told ,me to never shut off engine on full throttle. OK didn't know that. got back cut grass yesterday, turned throttle down and shut off, would not start again. what am I doing wrong? new pushrods and labor 200 dollars. cant afford that everytime...... thankyou

Pushrods generally bend because they can not push the valve as far as the cam is trying to make them do.
Most of the time it is because the valve guide has shifted.
And a shifting valve guide is nearly always due to overheating because the engine was not properly cleaned in the off season & left with the blower housing loose to prevent things building nests under there during winter.
Tinker ( shearch his posts ) has a do it yourself fix
Otherwise get a new head & head gasket
