I'm trying to change the v-belt on my Yard-Man Lawn Mower 12AVD39Q701 / 2011. I have it stripped down, but there appears no way to remove the old belt from inside the transmission bracket without disassembling everything connected. Please advise!
So, it's a rear wheel drive, the belt pulley is sandwiched between the top and the bottom of the transmission bracket which also holds various springs and cables. The pulley itself is inside the bracket, so not sure how to get the belt free even if the bracket is removed. Surely this was not manufactured to be such a problem for belt replacement?
Hoping someone has worked on one of these before and can clue me in.
