pressure washer problem

Hello, I just bought a new pressure washer and it runs ok BUT the pump loses all pressure after about a minute of using. It seems to overheat because every time I spray down the pump for a sec with cold water it comes back to life. What type of oil should I use in it. I am thinking of taking it back and get another one or look elsewhere for one (of better quality)

Did you ever perhaps leave it unattended for more than 30 seconds? Because all the pressure can build up and ruin valves and even blow it up:D before every 30 seconds you are supposed to relieve the pressure by squirting it.
