Are there any premium self-propelled mowers still using B&S engines? Looking at mowers like Honda HRX, Toro Super Recycler and I'm not seeing anything in this level of mower sporting a B&S. Only the box store mowers seems to have them around here.

I just bought a Poulan Pro and it has a Briggs & Stratton 675 Series Engine. Not sure if you would call it a "Premium" mower but it is vari speed self propelled with the "ready start" no primer choke system 3 in 1 rear discharge with bagger.
OR a TORO for that matter. Thats what the Poulan replaced. The Toro within just ONE mowing season after multiple carb problems, two electrical modules, self propelled components replaced three times, metal brackets having to be re-welded where the grass bag attaches after breaking off and the back rear wheel falling off I had enough. I didn't say in my post above the POULAN was a PREMIUM mower, but if it lasts longer than the crap Toro, I will have already gotten my moneys worth.
If you believe that Toro is crap and Poulan is better, I've got a large piece of property (1000 acres selling for $5000) 700 miles east of you, that you might want to buy as a second investment after that Poulan.

LOL well, I can only speak from the experience I had with my Toro...did you not read what I said happened with it?? I wouldn't consider it quite an "investment" and AGAIN, I am not saying it is on par with say, a Honda, but for what I paid for it, if it lasts the season I'll be happy.
Now about that 1000 acres you want to sell for $5k...send the info/address to me and I just might take you up on it
