A quote from that page:
It痴 unclear what the liberals will do in the face of this, but I知 sure we値l have to listen to the media complain about A&E痴 decision.
Liberals didn't fire Robertson... A&E did. A&E is owned by two large corporations. Some people may think large corporations are people but if they are they sure as hell ain't liberals ;)
Robertson cooked his own goose by voluntarily giving his views on controversial subjects... to a reporter. His freedom of speech is still protected... at least he was still talking last I heard. It's like I said... he is free to speak his mind. That's a right. But when you speak out like that you also have keep in mind that freedom of speech doesn't mean freedom from consequences of what you say. It's a lot like the Dixie Chicks thing a few years back. I don't recall all these people defending their freedom of speech.

Yes and some yahoo from Robertson's church is suing A&E, President Obama, & "others" because they robbed him off his right to hate homosexuals. This whole thing is getting past the point of being ridiculous. I used to respect Jesse Jackson. Can't really say that anymore.
Phil has a right to say what he thinks and view the world from his own perspective.
Some people got crossways over what Robertson said. A&E "fired" him. I don't know why they took that action because the people who were offended probably don't watch the show or anything else on A&E. Now you have all these other people piling on. My conservative friends claim his freedom of speech has been taken away. It hasn't. My liberal friends pretty much say ho hum must be a slow news week. What it boils down to is... this is between Phil Robertson and A&E. I don't care much about either one. I live in Texas. It's an employment at will state. Your boss can fire you or you can quit. Unless there is a contract breach that's pretty much the end of story.
I'm beginning to lean more towards the view of a previous poster about this being a publicity stunt.

If the reporter, or the public didnt want to know then they shouldnt ask. I agree it has got way out of hand, and just needs to be forgot. He has enough money I dont think them letting him go is going to cost him any sleep. But the question is did they fire him, or is he coming back they have alot of people putting info out there that dont know what they are talking about. I for one will tell you I dont know squat about what really happened, and I dont care. As mentioned its between Phil, and A&E.

Well, that's the thing. Nobody asked. I read the article. You can too: Duck Dynasty's Phil Robertson Gives Drew Magary a Tour
I have no real issue with anything he said. I think I prefer vagina to anus myself but what other people prefer is not any of my business. I don't think it's Phil's business either. Sometimes its best to just keep your opinion to yourself.
And that thing about black folk being happy with Jim Crow laws. Nobody in that situation is gonna be happy. That's just foolishness.

i have never had any respect for jessie jackson......he gets away with stirring the pot of racial discord and makes a living from extorting companies that dont line up with him in hiring and promotion practices among other things......contrary to phil robertson i doubt he has ever done an honest days work in his life

Yes sir I agree about the opinion thing. I hear he has been re-instated to the show, and I for one am glad it might just finally be over. My policy on the issue is each to his, or her own, and its none of my business what their preference is.
