Everything is set.but axles dont seat properly

not sure wich peerless you have but did you position the two axle bearings in their seat?there should be a little "nub" on the axle shaft bearing that fits in the halves

Nubs are in ring gear and no nubs on axles

I agree with tybilly, take a close look at the bronze axle bearings.

Make sure the bronze bushing nibs are setting in the recess in the lower case. Some of the trannys also had a piece that slid around the differential gear. If it isn't seated won't allow case to go together. if you try to force it will will crack the case.

I had one not too long ago I replaced the shift keys in and had a problem with the cases lining back up. don't know if its the same problem yer having, but I had the ring gear not lined up properly.
