I am still deciding on what I want to do. Here in Michigan it is starting to warm up, and according to the forecast it's going to be in the 50's by April. Should I...

A) Wait in case we get more snow, or...
B) Ditch the winter equipment and prepare for spring?

I put up snow stuff in April. Most of the time about the 15th or so. As a rule it seems I have all the lawn stuff out and being used before I put up the snowblower. I like to see several days of warm sunny weather so i can wash it up and set it in the sun to dry off well for a couple afternoons before spraying on some lube and tucking it away in a corner of the garage. I have had to many wet heavy snows in late March to the First part of April to depend on winter being over in march.

Yep, been slapped at the tail end of April and beginning of May more times than I care to remember. Really dislike those storm very wet and heavy and mostly a lot all at once.

I'm in the snow business for a living. For sure, no matter what happens now will be short lived so its ok to start thinking about spring clean ups. While you can get storms in March and even April, they melt in a week or less so the threat of being iced in with trouble for winter is over and you can live with a little snow on the ground at this time year. I put the big stuff away and just keep my small plow handy in case I need it for clean up!

The last winter storms we had fell on unfrozen ground so I'll be spending a lot of time raking my gravel driveway off my lawn, and my lawn off my gravel driveway!

Man the tough life of Florida, I barely had to put my flip flops and shorts away, let alone spring equipment.

I don't understand why people just don't drain the gas from the machine run the machine untill no gas is left in the machine. I do this to all my equipment if they will be sitting

I know that draining is simple and easy to do for us, but you have to realize who you're dealing with.

I think it should be in the operator manual of all gas machinery. Its not hard you move one clamp and gravity does the rest lol

put your stuff away and its your fault if it snows, lets just wait a week or so and check the weather then.
