OLDER Murray 10 HP TECUMSEH REAR ENGINE RIDING MOWER... BATTERY QUESTION

I believe this one came from the late 80's but I need to get a battery, wasn't one in it when I got it. What sort of CCA do I need. It looks likea pretty small area for the battery and I don't believe there is a charging system on it. Any ideas on what sort of battery? I'm also assuming it is 12v? Thanks

Any help on what battery I need to get would be appreciated. This thing did not come with one so I have nothing to go by. It must be quite small by the looks of the space for it. Thanks

If it came into the shop I would be installing an Interstate Battery model SP-35 or SP-35R depending on which side the negative terminal is on. 300 CCA

I have the current version of the mower and the starter motor is also the alternator - probably it was the same in the '80s.
