I own a seven year old (bought new) FERRIS 3100z 60in deck. 265 hrs. I had a motion dampner fail on the left side( the shock for the left handle) I went to the dealer with the old one in hand and was told I had to put a 125.00 plus shipping conversion kit on because they don't offer that dampner any longer. Its a small shock absorber probably a 25.00 dollar item. But Ferris decided to out date this shock to match their newer style mowers at my expense. I'm not a very happy camper.
