My family has an old Kubota L200 that hasn't been used for a few years since the water pump went out. I am just curious as I have heard before that this pump can be crossmatched from an old ford pump and am wondering if this it true as I would like to get it working again to use the bush hog and roto tiller we used it for. everything has run fine on it with no troubles but a rusted smoke stack.

Is it an L200 or an L2000... ?
If a L2000 then it's a Grey Market Kubota, around 24 HP... and would be like the L225 Kubota...
There would be no 'Old Ford' anything like it, Old Fords were not made in Japan, Your Kubota was built in the mid 1970's... everything on the engine will be metric, Look at the water pump & how it mounts, then go to your best Kubota dealer, compare your pump with the pump for a L225...
About where in Kansas are you? :smile:KennyV

It is an L200, bought back around 71 or 72. My grandfather was picky about what he bought. I sent an email to a local dealer and also to Kubota. hopefully can get the pump. the smoke stack is easy to fix
