I have a 130902 vert. and can not find any data online for the base mounting bolt pattern. Three holes are the same as the standard push mower. The 4rth hole is somewhere between 30 and 45 degrees from center line. Another bolt pattern that I can't find is that of the Toro TNT type self-propelled from the 70's 80's. It has the offset hole I think to clear the drive belt.
It is like Briggs and Tecumseh are trying to hide this info.

I think most of the problem is most of the equipment from that time period is gone, therefore there isn't any demand for what you are looking for. the mower companies are getting to the point that they don't stock parts for stuff over 10-13 years from manufacturer if that part isn't used any place else.

I will make a guess here. You want to install a engine in a mower frame. Just why can't you just drill new holes. If you don't want the old holes in the frame just weld them shut.

If it's a Briggs, there should be plenty of diagrams. Diagrams are still available for my 40 year old edger engine. Check partstree.com.

I have been repairing mowers since 1986 as a small home biz. Back then there was plenty from the 50's. As time goes on
the 30 old stuff is still current. Meaning: I get repairs now from around the 80's. What you said may be why people give up because there is no support after a time and people can not even find the info anymore.

I have a customer that has a 1979 log splitter. He found another at a barn sale with the engine removed and wanted an engine that would fit it so he would have two running. That is why I asked for the bolt pattern so I could look for possible newer engines that would fit right on it. So far any engine that has the standard pattern will fit as long as the splitter base uses that pattern. If it uses a different pattern, then I need to know what would fit. Also have a an old S.P. Toro deck that I wanted the pattern for. May have solved both by taking time to take measurements as written below.

I found an old 1309000 vert. engine base in my stuff and took measurements. There are two different mounting patterns.
One is for the standard push mower base and the other is 4 holes at 45 degrees.
The old Toro deck has an offset hole. That hole is about 38 degrees, doing trig. calculations from a paper
tracing I took from it. The standard hole is 49 degrees as stated in line drawings of the newer engines. The old 130902 base fit the other two standard holes and the deck has one extra hole that is at 45 degrees so that fit the 130902 base also. Just wanted to see if the Briggs would work on it. I can use the three holes that line up.
I thought that someone would still have this info available for those that like old iron. I also have an old Clinton vert. with extra holes that looks like it will fit all the holes on the Toro.
I have a 21" Snapper that I put on an old 7hp Briggs. to use as a weed/small tree mower where I don't cut but once a year. So, I try to use old stuff that is still good instead of spending $$ on something that may or may not work good.
My rider is from the 80's and still is running good with some repairs.
