Hey everyone, trying to change the oil on my Troy Bilt Bronco 40 with the Briggs Stratton Intek 190 engine. Everything I’m seeing in manuals and on YouTube show a drain plug o on the side of the mower by the fuel filter but I see no plug on mine. Also my oil filter is installed horizontally where everything I see online shows a vertical filter mount. Does anyone know where I’d find the oil plug? Or do I need to siphon the oil? Thanks!

you should have a drain on the opposite side of your filter, either a yellow EZ drain, or a Pipe plug.

Thanks!! I looked opposite of the filter and didn’t see the East plug, but I’ll look for the oil plug. Is it square?

Yes the end of an old style drain plug is square. You can put a pipe nipple in that drain hole if it is in a hard spot to get at it will extend it the length you need. Then just cap it. If you do that make sure you stop the nipple from turning when you take the cap off when you drain the oil.

yes. you should be able to fit a 3/8" open end wrench on it.
if you want to, post some pictures of your engine and maybe we can spot it for you.

I’m assuming it’s this plug below the wires.
