Problem now-Can noy start B&S 6.0 hp QUANTUM XTE- Engine used on CAMPBELL HAUSFELD STANDARD DUTY Pressure Washer 2200 PSI 2.0 GPM- Had just fixed sticking float in carb bowl. Engine would start, flood and stop before I had the sparkplug problem. After I fixed the flodding and tried to start engine, it would not start at all. I tried the sparkplug in another engine and it started fine. I replaced the same and new plug in the 6.0 engine and inserted a tester plug with a light mounted inside to show fireing if it occured. no light flashed. Tested the tester on another engine and showed to work fine. Removed the pull rope cover and flywheel to check the shaft key for alignment (no shear) which was ok. I can't believe it's the ignition when it was just running!

Sounds like a bad coil.

You did not mention that you check the kill switch or wire.
I would remove the kill wire going to the coil and then test for fire again. A sheared flywheel key will still fire fine on the newer engine (just fires out of time). If you remove the wire and it fires you know you have a problem in the safety kill circuit. If it does not fire it's definitely a coil issue.
