No spark in 5239 engine Yes, I searched this problem.

Hi Again:

I lost the spark in my 5239 LB yesterday. I have checked all of the things that were accessible I did check the coil as per the instructions in the earlier posts. Everything is good but still no spark!

I had the same problem last Summer when the problem was solved by using a "used" coil. The same symptoms appeared yesterday, it ran great and then just lost spark. Could it be that the "used" coil just gave up? The replacement coil was not the correct one for the 5239 but it fit with a few modifications to the mounting holes and high tension lead. It seemed to have worked very well while it lasted.

Is it time to purchase a new coil? All of the other ignition parts are new!

Suggestions?

Only way you are going to find out, and that is to replace the coil, by a used one that you know is fine or a new one.
