Just bought a new ZT 48" Need advice. Have Kohler KT740 engine. The online manual says to do the first oil change at 5hours. Agree? Should I stay with the synthetic blend or go with full synthetic? Home use only. Lastly, should the hour meter display show when the mower is off? Thanks for any responses

How long it is in the engine is far more important than what is put in engine.
Don't be swayed by all the BS you see about the "Magical" properties of synthetics.
Runing a more expensive higher grade of oil in the engine will make no difference & cost more money.
They are slow reving lawn mower engines, made to be as cheap as possible not a F! race car running at 20,000 rpm.
