Hi:
Just joined the forum. I'm a 73 year old owner of lakefront property in South Central Virginia. My wife and I built our retirement dream home here 10 years ago, and have loved every minute we've been here. I own two adjacent lots totaling just under two acres. Five years ago I bought a Kubota B-21 to assist in clearing the lot next to us. I had a Craftsman lawn tractor, 42 inch deck, 16 HP Kohler that served until three years ago when I blew the engine. I replaced it with a Craftsman LT 3000, with a 22 hp Kohler, that died on me last summer when the transmission went on it. That made me think that my next mower would not be a Craftsman. Instead, this Spring I bought a John Deere X320, with a 22hp Kawasaki, and a 48 inch deck. So far, I love it.
Plenty of power and a much wider stance to accommodate the hilly terrain of my property. I'm in the process of rebuilding the Tuff-Torq K46 transmission on the old Craftsman and will use it to haul my yard trailer.
