Just a note to introduce myself. I live in south Georgia where the grass cutting season is long. I mow with a 2002 Husqvarna YTH1542XP. This is my 12th season with the mower. Since I mow about 1 acre, this mower has held up fairly well. It currently has 487 hours on it. The mowing deck is beginning to develop holes in it, so I don't know how many more years I will have with it.

I am looking forward to browsing the forum for ideas and tips from people who have much more mechanical knowledge and sense than I do. Happy mowing to all.
