Not sure where to start posting or which brand this mower belongs under. It’s a Scott’s 6.5 ohv tecumseh self propelled and electric start.


Picked it up today for $15. Cracked gas tank and years of grass build up. Should be a fun project. Currently using a black and decker electric and the motor is slowly dying. This should be a nice change I hope.

Wondering if this Scott’s is a John Deere or Murray

Pretty deluxe mower, lots of power too. I'm guessing Murray, looks like their drive system. Not sure, MTD makes Murray? Heck of a buy there, tires hardly worn. Might take a look inside the little transmission if possible, get some lube in there.
