New exmark lazer z e series motion lever issue

I just purchased a new exmark lazer z e series and after I got it home I took it for a test drive. While I was driving it I noticed that the right hand motion control lever would not go full forward. After stopping the mower I started inspecting and comparing the control levers and discovered that the left lever will go full forward while the right lever will not due to the spring-leaf hitting the control lever mounting frame. This is my first exmark and I am certainly no expert but it seems that this mower may have been assembled improperly. Has anyone experienced this issue and what was done to correct it?
I will be returning to mower to the dealer I purchased it from so that they may contact exmark and hopefully correct the issue properly and not just make adjustments that prohibits the mower from achieving full power.
