My grandson hit a stump and warped the shaft on a mower, It is a B&S 6.25 engine model 961450026 00, The mower is a Husqvarna. It is a fairly new mower or I would just throw it away. Where is the best place to buy a replacement?

Do you have the model # off the engine? The number you gave showed up for the mower itself, you might can get a short block engine that comes fully assembled, just swap over your carb, flywheel , head, and any other externals.

A new engine would be in the neighborhood of ~$200.
For $150 more, a new mower might be in the cards.
With the model and type number of the engine valve cover we can look up a direct replacement. You can then price it out and decide whether you want to go this route or replace the mower. With promo pricing this is probably more economical than a short block.
