Need a new starter

The starter on my 1999 ExMark Lazer Z went out today and I need to replace it. It's a 60" deck with the Koehler 25 HP V-twin engine. I can go with original equipment of course, or a rebuilt unit. Can anyone recommend a good source for a rebuilt starter that won't cost a fortune? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Any reason why you don't take it apart to see what is wrong, may just need a set of brushes and if you can fit them yourself, you are saving money that way, it will only cost you parts and you're time.
