Need 26 to 30 inch mower

In an attempt to keep my payroll low, my wife helps me mow some days but she is afraid of all of my small walk behinds. So, I am looking for some professional reviews on 26 to 30 inch mowers. I need something that operates like a standard push mower in a wider size. I know toro has a 30 inch and so does exmark but all the reviews I can are speculation. It doesn't seem like anyone is actually using them. Anybody out there have any recommendations?
