Hi All,
I have a MZ6125 and this spring she decided to not every other year. She started up and I let it warm up for a few minutes and then hit the PTO to test out that. Once I did that, everything died and hasn't restarted since. I've been working on this for over a month and the wife has been patient, but I need to get this mower fixed soon and most places are backed up for months, so I've taken to working on it myself.
Current situation: When turning the key, the starter solenoid clicks, but the mower doesn't not attempt to start (no movement at all by the motor).
Things checked:
Tested both fuses with a voltmeter for continuity and they passed.
Checked oil and it is 3/4 up the hashed part of the dip stick.
Things replaced:
Starter Solenoid (with a hard wired ground going from the base of the solenoid mounting bolt to the motor ground, by the the dipstick)
Ignition Switch
PTO Switch
Lever switches (both of them)
Battery
Voltages: 12.6 at the battery, 12v on the accessory wire when turning the key, but 0v on the other side of the starter solenoid and thus it does not start.
Historically, this mower has had issues from time to time when turning on the PTO would kill the engine and it would take some time to restart it.
Thank you in advance.
