That's a beauty! You always show us some nice examples. Do you plan on using it regularly? We are still freezing up here in Wisonsin. I'm itching to bust out my Lawn Boys.

I rarely mow anymore, my wife has a Lawngirl mower and usually does the mowing....I just weedeat and edge.
I have pulled the handle off and put it on the shelf with some of my other classic Lawnboys.

Nice Bricktop, I am new to this forum. I have the same mower but in the mid 90's I hit one of the kids toys and broke the original deck. Since then I have put the motor on a newer commercial deck. Can I get the model number of that style of steel tanker so I can try to get parts for mine. I picked it up in 1982 I believe as an older unused mower. I could also use a good source for parts.
Thanks:

Pdqrunner, the modle is 6255.
This modle was produced from 1975-1978.
I find most of my parts from either ebay or through people on the forums.

Thanks for the info. My mowers issues besides the wrong deck and 80 psi compression is the little rubber washer in the primer is gone.:confused2: Im going to try to fab one up but I would also like to find a new pull start gear. I will start my hunt.
Thanks again

nice mower probably a d400 series my rebuild of my d433 for my lawnboy went ok but got to find a piston and cylinder, when I put them together from the rebuild i noticed a scratch in the cylinder and the piston did not look the best it could a started for a split second and then died seemed like it had enough compression but guess the cylinder and piston are screwed need to find 1 now. any body knows of one or even a short block for a d433 or even any d400 series engine email me my email is rjb562001@yahoo.com,
