We've got bermuda grass in front of our home. Now we don't mow it as often as you guys do. In fact, we don't mow it at all! We use grass shears. I know it's crude! But our lawn isn't that big and I'm still saving for a ride-on mower and a larger lawn on which I could plant carabao grass.

I'm motivated to shear the bermuda grass for the simple reason that I don't want it to prick my bottom every time I sit on it  The experience of being pricked by what feels like a thousand needles on your bottom isn't very pleasant. Have you tried it?

Your Bermuda must be a different variety than what I have ... my grass is rather tender and soft... I don't generally let it get too tall as it mows very nice... I have had it in fields that I would put up for hay for horses but that even seemed to be tender... There must be some great variables in this type grass...

Oh, that's an interesting insight. Bermuda grass here isn't tender at all. It jots out strong and wide (but small) like a bunch of piranha fangs. It looks nice, but it isn't very hospitable.
