I am looking at a Murray Select on Craigslist for $130. Says steering is broken, it's a zero turn with a steering wheel - pic shows the wheel off the shaft and the shaft leaning onto the seat. The shaft looks like its attached to a knuckle at the deck. Anybody know anything about these, is it an easy ( i.e. cheap ) fix? I'll email the seller for the model number.

Closer inspection: it's not a zero turn. Just a rear engine mower: 12hp and 30" .

If weekender likes to work on a mower every weekend all weekend, by all means buy it. If you need to mow grass look for something else.

Those were mostly a pile of junk from the factory and I would suspect parts by now are unheard of.

I sure don't want to work on one all the time. Thanks for the heads up.
