Mtd briggs to Kohler swap

My original engine was seized so I swapped the engine for a 22hp Kohler I'm have trouble figuring out the wiring harness's and how to hook them up the three wire is the tractor and the 4 wire is the engine any help will be super appreciated

It would really help us if we had the model number of both the old and new engines, so we can see how each engine was setup electrically.

Take the blower housing off so you can see the coils
If they have a single thin wire them that should go to the "Engine Shorting " terminal in the plug.
Double check that the wire never has any voltage on it , should be open circuit to ground with the ket in any on position & ground when the key is off .

The purple wire coming off the rectifier is the 12 V feed back to the battery, leave it disconnected for now

The carburetor fuel solenoid wire is not part of the engine wiring so should still be on your mower .
