I have a husqvarna mower (HU700H) with a single lever to adjust the mower height. It has 8 positions. I'm wondering what each lever position corresponds to grass height. I looked through the manual but this is all it says about the lever:
During the season, I mow on the tallest setting which is 8. And I don't know how tall that is supposed to cut it but its on the high side and I like it for lots of reasons.
But I should be lowering it now that fall is here, but I don't know just how low I should go.
The deck height settings DO NOT usually match the actual cutting height. Put your mower on level ground and measure from the ground to the bottom of the blade tips. This will give you a benchmark and you can mark your settings accordingly.
NOTE: Remove the spark plug wire before putting your hands under the deck.
The same lever height will cut at different heights on nearly every lawn
So find the height that you like and then mark the notch .
The lawn Nazis are not going to storm onto your grass with micrometer depth gauges to measure the actual height of the grass blades
