Mower blade broke off - how to repair?

While mowing a couple years ago there was a rock hidden beneath some grass. The blade broke off and I retired the mower. Recently my push mower bit the dust so I want to repair this old Murray riding lawn mower. Looking for advice on how I would repair this. I purchased some bolt extractors, but not 100% certain I need that central bolt out. In my mind it would be, remove the center broken bolt, purchase a new mulcher kit in the PDF attached. Anyone have advice on this before I go and ruin something?

Murray spindles are cheap. Look on ebay. Don't bother trying to fix the one.

You will need a new spindle assembly PN 1001200MA or its after market version. You can get a pair of the aftermarket for around $40. And you will 5ea per spindle 3/8-16 x 1.25 self tapping bolts if the spindle you are not already tapped and if tapped then regular 3/8-16 x 1.25 hex screws.

Be careful as there are a couple different versions out there in the after market,

Thanks to you both. It took forever and I had to dremel the top bolt, but I got the old spindle off after much labor. I am on the hunt for replacement spindles.
