Not sure why this is in the polls section but thumbs up  Nice build MM. That was back when things were made well and made to last. Many of todays push mowers just look cheap and disposable. Since your restored mower is 63 years old, I can not see someone restoring a 2016 model mower in the year 2079. I do wonder what the cost of your Lawn-Boy would have been in 1953 ?

You have done an impressive job. but one thing I want to share is that, those who find it difficult to repair their lawn mowers. I have a perfect solution for them. There is a John Deere Service Manual, which is easily available and is best for repairing of different lawn mowers. Because sometimes you find it good to repair the old mower instead of purchasing the new one.

I think my grandpa used to own something similar back in the day. It sure brings back some memories!
