Sure is a odd thing to happen. I keep hoping they landed some place and everybody is OK.

I have been reading the latest on this when I can, which admittedly isn't often, but it is very interesting.

Unless somebody isn't telling the truth, the plane must have gone down somewhere...

It either went down, or was hi-jacked. I guess only time will tell.

I've been hearing all kinds of things about it. Some have said it landed in the ocean somewhere and others have said its all a setup and people are just trying to cover it up. I guess we will wait and see won't we

Some website in China seems to have posted some pictures of parts of the plane. Also, someone stated that they saw an explosion somewhere while working on an oil platform.

Yep at first they thought there was 2 oil slicks in the ocean to but it turned out to be a nothing. I saw this morning the search has been expanded again I think to a 2500 mile radius?

We keep poking the hornets nest, and there are some intelligent enemies out there. So far it seems someone who knows aircraft turned off the transponder and another major location instrument. Since 911 we know the unarmed need a major weapon delivery system (perish the thought as in a-bomb). I hope this is not such an attempt since they cannot seem to steal planes stateside.

This story seems to get stranger and more interesting every day. The fact (apparently it's a fact :confused2: ) that the plane flew for at least four hours after its transponders were shut off makes it look much more like a case of foul play. Here's the best article I've read recently:

James Fallows writing in The Atlantic

The article gets pretty technical but I found it worth wading through.

The next thing you'll here is aliens took the thing. I just can't believe something like that they can't find.

Honestly it wouldn't surprise me if somebody managed to get that on the news and on the list of many theories...

Supposedly found in Indian Ocean. They are lookig for the parts to see if they match the plane.

Yep they had to suspend the search for today because of weather.

The site of the plane wreckage hasn't actually been found. It's only been determined that it must have taken a southerly route over a remote area in the Indian ocean where there are no places for a 777 to land... therefore it must have crashed into the sea, killing all aboard.

Here are a couple of links.

New York Post -- explanation of the techniques used to determine that flight 370 took a route over the southern Indian ocean (not a northern route over some land.)

The BBC on British satellite firm Inmarsat (the company providing the analysis)

To make an analogy, the searchers aren't looking for a needle in a haystack yet... they just know that the haystack is located in the southern Indian ocean.

Yep I watched on cnn yesterday how they where trying to recreate the possible flight path in a flight simulator. They said this morning they had spotted 122 objects that are a possible debris field.
